Saxophonist/flutist/composer Carl Clements performs and records internationally in a variety of styles, with a particular focus on jazz, Hindustani classical music, and various forms of improvised and pre-composed music. He received a Ph.D. from the CUNY Graduate Center, an MFA from CalArts, a BM from Berklee College of Music, and has studied Hindustani classical flute (bansuri) since 1989. He is currently Saxophone/Improvisation Instructor and Jazz Combo Coach at Amherst College and is available for online and in-person lessons.

I'm looking forward to playing in The Spot Lot performance series presented and funded by Easthampton City Arts (ECA). On May 1st I’ll be playing with the Salsa Train Orquestra, and on May 22 I’ll be playing a jazz trio concert with Fumi Tomita (bass) and Austin McMahon (drums).
